Legendary Tales ended up being a huge disappointment for me. Coming from games like Gorn and Swordsman on PSVR1, I thought this would be a perfect fit—an arena fighter with a campaign! Unfortunately, it just didn’t click.

While the combat is decent enough, I quickly found myself fighting the same enemies over and over, using the same strategy: parry, slash, repeat. The enemy variety is painfully lacking, at least from what I saw. Maybe things get more diverse later on, but I wouldn't know because every time I log out, the game resets me back to the start. As an adult with responsibilities, I fucking hate having to restart the whole damn fucking game every time I log back in. I don’t have the time or patience to keep repeating the same fights just to make minimal progress. I’ll play for half an hour, get into the dungeon, then log off, only to have to do the same thing all over again the next day.

The UI didn’t help either. Why do items have to fall as crystals, only for me to smash them again to pick them up? It’s unnecessarily clunky and just plain annoying.

Then there's the story—if you can even call it that. It’s practically nonexistent. The environments look okay, but they’re bland, and the sound design seems to be running on one or two tracks at most. Maybe the game picks up later, but I honestly couldn’t push through more than a few hours.

The worst part? This is considered one of the best PSVR2 titles, which just leaves me feeling depressed and regretting that I bought the headset in the first place.
