Mislight

I had never seen anyone talk about this game, but I decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised! It has a unique atmosphere - a pitch dark forest where you are a lost child with a flashlight.

It is a pretty linear Metroidvania, with decent combat and exploration. I enjoyed the art style and the level design was quite good.

My complaints - I wish it was less linear and had more dynamic combat (it’s just button mashing)

This is probably a C tier or low B tier, but I had a really good time. It would be low on my list of recommended Metroidvanias, but it’s totally worth playing.
