The object of Clay Pigeon was to shoot as many clay targets as you can, using an arcade light gun that was shaped like a shotgun. At the start of the game you are given the choice of selecting either Trap Shooting or Skeet Shooting. Eventually you can shoot live ducks.

Another of these Exidy Light Gun Shooters based on their much better, and earlier, Crossbow game. This one was oddly addicting tho ngl. As straightforward as it was, it reminded me of real-life skeet/trap shooting where you get in this hypnotic state where you just keep doing it and get better with each round. I was excited that it wasn't slaughtering ducks, but apparently you can unlock that. Luckily I didn't get to that point--I just did about 10 rounds of both skeet and trap shooting and that was a fun 20ish min playtest for me! Worth a try if you're into early light gun shooters, and want something other than Duck Hunt :-p
