Perfectly designed semi-open world platformer *

This game developer - ferociter - is so insanely talented. All of their games I've played have unique mechanics, platforming sections that are extremely polished and varied, and the games just provide amazing challenging gameplay.

Amidst the Sky is a semi-open world platformer that is always changing up the challenge and keeping you on your toes. It has very simple mechanics in the form of a couple of metroidvania style upgrades, which it slowly teaches you how to master. It is a blast start to finish and feels like a huge accomplishment when you finally win.

Absolutely go play any of their games - this or Cataractae are really good choices.
