A Sequel to 1-2-Switch. While this is still just a minigame compilation, this time the minigames are now team-based and are presented in a party-style format (there is also a quiz show, but it's just selecting true or false with Joy-con. And there's also Bingo, but it is what it sounds like). The biggest innovation is the fact you can now play this not only with Joy-cons but also with a smartphone (although certain minigames can only be played with only Joy-cons or smartphone). Finally, the price is significantly reduced (but still too high IMO). Surprisingly I had more fun with this than with the original game, while still not as fun as let's say Mario Party, it was OK.

So I have played the original 1-2 Switch with a Zoomer coworker of mine (just absolutely destroyed her), and it left basically no impression on me. Despite this, I figure games like this have a place. It is Nintendo's version of a bargain bin party game. And there are those who buy bargain bin party games, and they might enjoy a churched up version from Nintendo. Not for me, but I'm sure someone out there loves 1-2 Switch.

I did hear the "leaks" recently that Nintendo hates Everybody 1-2 Switch. And I put leaks in quotations not because I believe this particular leak to be fake (I believe it is real, and I'll say why in a moment), but because leaks so often are fake. And frankly, I could have made up the leak. "Uh yeah, Shigeru Miyamoto and Shuntaro Furukawa told my uncle that this game is dog piss." It's not hard to predict that the sequel to Nintendo's bargain bin game would be another bargain bin game.

But wow, they had this trailer ready to go and straight up decided not to include it in their Direct one week ago. There was no mention of it whatsoever. I don't know if I've ever seen a video game company release a game with less confidence in their product. I guess I prefer them releasing a finished bad* game to Warner Bros' burning of the finished Batgirl movie (and then releasing trash film after trash film).

IDK has this happened before? A major dev just kinda silently putting a game out there that they seem to not like?

*IMO
