Played "New game +" in Rungore today. Got to a build where my character is literally unkillable, generates armor, cards incredibly fast, while dicing out 6k damage every 0.5 seconds.

Nothing could beat me, until I softlocked myself somehow, only a few minutes before the final boss. But I can't blame this game. It still managed to sustain 60 fps while my character had 30+ articafts, each with some conditional mechanics and chain reactions. Curious, how the developers managed to pull this off. As a programmer, I understand that this game has to calculate plenty of stuff every 16 miliseconds.

Still, it was quite fun and felt like I was extremely prowerful, while still at a risk of ruining it all if I picked one wrong artifact or played a wrong card. Especially compared to the earlygame, where you are playing in hp\damage range of 5-100. Rungore screenshot

I'm someone who easily gets songs stuck in my head, so I was torn between enjoying the game's banger OST and turning it off.

In the end, I chose to disable the in-game music but listen to the soundtrack occasionally on its own. That way, I avoid hearing the same tracks on repeat—especially since you'll be replaying the same levels multiple times with different characters who play very differently.

This is one of those gimmicky games where it allows you to break the game balance with some OP combos and makes meta jokes about itself (and card games, roguelikes, RPGs in general). Sometimes it suddenly changes game rules because you're basically fighting the god of the in-game universe.

Interesting, unique, and refreshing. Although best played in short bursts.
