RAS Games

RAS (Resana Afzar Sharif) Games is an ICT & entertainment media company headquartered in Iran. The company was founded on 2001 by a number of electrical engineering students of Sharif university of technology. Given the diverse professional capabilities of the founding team, the company started to operate in several different specialized fields from the very beginning, the most important of which are digital electronics, telecommunications, education, games and digital entertainment production. In 2003, RAS transferred part of its shares to Microwave Telecommunications Industries Co. and became a permanent business partner of this company, which led to the growth and expansion of the company's activities. After a year, two satellite companies, "Electronic Digital Pardis" and "Sirira Educational Institute", separated from the parent company, and consequently RAS continues its activities as a specialized holding. In 2005, the company's digital entertainment group, with the support of the Center for New Industries, undertook a major project to "create a pilot version of the game Age of Pahlevans" inspired by ancient Iranian mythology, which was completed in early 2007. After some delay, the project to create a production version of this game was launched in October of the same year. In the production version, the characters were preserved, but many other components such as the story, game engine, export tools, and Level Editor were changed so that the game could be brought to the market with an internationally acceptable level.
