It has the distinction of being the first Sega Genesis game I have ever completed. I would say this is more fun than the game boy Castlevanias, but less fun than the Super Nintendo Castlevanias. Probably more fun than Castlevania on the NES and right about on par with CVIII. Unlike later games in the series there really wasn't any dialogue or story, just jump right in and start whipping zombies! Not even banter with Dracula. I liked the graphics and the ability to whip up at an angle. You get to choose between two player characters, one with a whip and one with a sort of long spear-axe. I liked the blue sort of electro-flame whip upgrade.
