Fun Enough
Look: 7/10 The different colored blocks are fun and all, but this didn't really boost much from the original Breakout. Not to mention I was playing the even later-released Atari 2600/VCS version.

Play: 6/10 I can't claim to really love this, and because the precedent was already set by the original Breakout, not much to say about this. I acknowledge that later Breakout games used to entertain me a lot as a kid, but again, the original Breakout deserves the credit for this. This just seems like that inevitable "super" sequel that the late 70s and 80s/early 90s had a lot of "mario bros -> super mario bros." Different gameplays, cool, different features, etc.--this version is worth existing, sure, but nothing strikingly different from the original. I find the gameplay fun, worth a few playthroughs for a high score or to clear the screen once (which I never did accomplish, dang does it go fast at the end and I'm not so well-versed in this style controls).
Feel: 7/10 Again, nothing special compared to the original, but still a fun game. Gotta say, just like in the original, I love the "plotline" of escaping a prison or whatever. The game is good arcade gameplay, simple and enjoyable, but didn't quite push me to keep retrying for higher scores or clearing the whole screen. Maybe in future iterations. Not sure if I mentioned this, but I liked that the different colored blocks in their layers make the projectile go in different speeds.
Attachment: 6/10 If I return to early Breakout iterations, the original will be the one. The different game versions on this just weren't really my thing. Still, if you are a fan of the original Breakout, and want some different renditions of the gameplay, pick this one up!
