Oh god I wanted to pass this off. Sure I loved the music and the fast-paced start to the game (I often thought of Famicom/NES as starting that where you have very to-the-point menus for a console game so you could get right to the game, turns out Konami and MSX games often did that first), but I didn't like that you usually can't go left or right without a gap and it was just simply too hard for me. Buttttt, I then saw there is a set ending (not looping infinite levels)... and there are those checkpoint type 1/4 1/2 etc collectibles.. ahhhh, let me try this again and see if I can fully engage with it.
Fast-paced shooters just really aren't for me, but this one really stood out. I made it to 50,010 Score, just was proud I made it to the 2nd screen/segment/area however you call it.
Super cool how each area had a theme with different enemies and graphics (see the video below), very tight controls even if I'm not in love with the mechanics, and catchy jingle. Absolutely worth a playtest despite the low average rating, Konami always produces quality imo, just not my type of game.
