This was Capcom's first arcade game. The player controls a spaceship with a single objective: destroy incoming enemies. The vessel has two different weapons: a primary weapon with infinite ammunition and a limited supply of bombs. By picking up the "Pow" icons, which sporadically appear throughout the levels, the player can replenish supplies. [wikipedia]

Maybe all 80s vertical shoot em ups will now pale to 1942, ha, but with no set ending, this one is passable to me. If you like vertical scrollers, and gotta play em all, definitely give this a try. This has the POW/power-up/re-supply aspect like the released-soon-after 1942, constant onslaught of enemies, and great tight arcade controls--but again, without a set ending, I'm just not motivated. I got to this score on my first try and moving on. If only the Look or Sound were more compelling (both are good, I like how the enemies have a theme, the backgrounds are good like 1942, and the music isn't bad), but it'd take something compelling to warrant playing this over 1942 imo! I suppose if you hate WW2 themed games and prefer sci-fi? Haha

Invecchiatissimo per l'esilità della struttura ma davvero (sorprendentemente) piacevole da giocare.
