Standalone Expansion for Dead Rising 2
3.08 average rating based on 50 ratings

Dead Rising 2 Case Zero and the DR2 main game helped build and expand the Dead Rising universe in a fun interesting way. But sadly the Final DLC for DR2 Case West failed to capture that magic touch from its procedures.
Case Zero Introduced us to Chuck Green, who is the main protagonist for the DR2 Timeline. Despite it being a short demo, it demonstrates a strong relationship between father and daughter that helped bring more intrigue to the main character, It had heart.
Sadly for the last DLC DR2 Case West, the Devs completely forgot what character develpoment was. Chuck's personality felt flat during the 3 hours run time. I felt I was playing a different character.
To make matters worse, The Devs used one of the worst endings from the DR2 main game as its cannon for the universe timeline. That ending made literally made no sense and felt that it was rushed and anti-climatic. It felt like they picked that ending mainly so they can introduce Frank West again as a cameo. Frank West felt out of place to be in this timeline, seemed like he was shoved in last mintute.

The only bright side of this DLC was the last 10 minutes. They brought back an old character from the first game that helped bring more intrigue to the game and helped build deeper lore to the DR universe.
So is the DLC worth the full price? ($9.99) Hell No!
Should you wait for a sale? If your a major dead rising fan, then go for it. The game usually goes for $1.99 during its sale.
Am I being too harsh? Maybe, I'm just really annoyed they picked a different ending to make that has the official canon to the game's universe.
Final Verdict
2/5
**** This game at its core is a 1/5. But the last 10 minutes of the DLC is what really shined to make this game somewhat enjoyable. So I'll give an extra point just for that.
