If you do not enjoy a very specific brand of British, slapstick humor then you will not enjoy this game for what it is. I genuinely think that Conker feels like it was heavily influenced by the comedy present in Monty Python and I loved it. I found most of the jokes to land successfully and the over-the-top stupidity/action to be charming.
The game is half 3D platformer and half everything else. Unlike games like Mario 64 or Banjo-Kazooie, you mostly find yourself interacting with different creatures and doing tasks for them. You will spend a lot of your time confused and questioning what exactly you are supposed to do to progress the story. It was almost like a point and click adventure game in the way that it's story plays out (needing to find certain items and talk to certain people to progress).
The platforming is mostly good. Conker jumps and can hover using his tail. My biggest issue is that there is little to no depth perception in this game. I died many times because I couldn't tell how close or far away from the camera I was. A simple fix would have been to just add a …

I died many times because I couldn't tell how close or far away from the camera I was. A simple fix would have been to just add a ground shadow for the character (so we know where he is at).
When you are not platforming, you are doing every other genre of game. There are shooting levels, racing levels, and flying levels. It does come across as unfocused at times, but it was all done pretty well so I can't complain about 1 single part.
About halfway through the game, it stops being about Conker solving problems around his world and becomes a bunch of parodies of movies. I couldn't exactly point out where this started, but I found the humor in it funny and just sorta accepted it for what it was.
Overall, this is a really good game if you are into the humor. You will definitely find yourself laughing along with Conker on his journey and having fun solving all of the people's problems. My only issues are that the platforming feels slightly weak in some portions and I did need a walkthrough at 2 points in the story because I had no idea what I needed to do to progress.
No other game in history merges poops, farts, graphic violence, and movie references like this one does. I'd say if you're a fan of poops, farts, graphic violence, and movie references this is the game for you!
Alright, second try! Somehow I got into it again yesterday :-) I still prefer Banjo Kazooie, I think.
