In Maze Craze, your goal is to be the first of two players to make it out of a maze! Each player controls a cop that starts on the left, and the first player to make it out the exit on the right wins. The game also includes of variety of options. The maze can be completely visible, completely invisible, or have just a few parts invisible. With invisible mazes you can optionally have the computer provide a sneak peak at the complete maze periodically. To make your task more challenging, one to five robbers may also be placed in the maze. If you are caught by one of the robbers, you will momentarily be stunned giving your opponent an advantage. You can also give your cop the ability to set up a blockade to confuse your opponent. This will look like a regular wall, however you can walk straight through it. The games speed can also be adjusted, from calculatingly slow to extremely fast. Read less

Look: 7/10 The usual Atari VCS/2600 graphics I love, but a bit more bland and less absurd than usual. Oh, I do like the flashes when you exit the maze successfully.

Sound: 7/10 I loved the sound for running into walls and the overall sound. Nothing special though. I did not count it toward the rating, to be fair.

Sound: 7/10 I loved the sound for running into walls and the overall sound. Nothing special though. I did not count it toward the rating, to be fair.

Play: 8/10 So many different game modes and configurations. Mostly just hiding different amounts of the maze, different functioning to un-hide the maze, etc. Lots of fun. Wish I had a chance to play it with somebody else.

Feel: 8/10 Gosh, I really am turning into an arcade-style game fanboy. Surprised around every corner of this chronology project heh. I had a lot of fun with this, well, for like 30 minutes ha. Feels so good when you hit that exit ha.

Attachment: 8/10 Since the Atari 2600 has already been a favorite early console of mine so far, it is likely that its early games are something I will return to! This was fun enough to make the list, tho it wasn't particularly striking.
