Although Atlus has published a majority of the series, the first two games were created by Atlus but published by Namco (known as Namcot at the time), after it bought the video game rights to the Japanese horror novel series by Aya Nishitani, the first named Digital Devil Story. Preliminay: Phew, there is a fan translation of the orginal Famicom version. Let's get started! Whoa, I never knew what the series was about. I love this idea of a programmer summoning demons! lol. Oh no tho it's first person ah! So far, great music and I'm oddly enjoying this starting "town" as bleak as it is.

Great music, great concept, decent execution. Too Wizardry-esque for me, I guess I will never get over this aversion to first person dungeon crawler RPGs >.< Cuz this did everything right!

I trained up to Level 3, hadn't died once (people said it's super easy to? Just use Med? I suppose if you didn't give enough Wisdom to a character maybe?) and was enjoying it more than I expected but I dunno. Can't quite click with this type of RPG, and with so many exciting games coming up, I can't stick to it. I will say, this is by far the best of the CRPG-style first person dungeon crawlers I've played so far. Sadly, moving on.
