Beat on ultra violence, playstation version on my PSP. Some of the master levels were familiar but I am not sure if I played them long ago or if it was Doom 4 remakes. The master levels were a little too complex with platforming, switches and key finding with not really enough combat challenge. TNT and plutionia were entirely new and I very much enjoyed them. I played through the entire series back to back carrying over supplies, then did TNT and plutonia separately from scratch to see how much different the supply situation would be. Not much difference really. The early levels were nicely challenging and I did not have the BFG for the cyber demon (killed him with plasma rifle), but I still had plenty of supplies. I found more secrets the 2nd time through but there were some I could not figure out. TNT gave me good knee deep in the dead vibes, with excellent level design. Could have used more combat challenge; more enemies and less supplies. Plutonia was fond of ambushes, which could easily result in death for the unwary, and some extreme enemy sniper positions. Some spots (usually involving chaingunners) were very tricky. Despite this the combat challenge could have been much higher and there was still plenty of supplies. I found it odd how often an easily obtained mega sphere was at the end of levels, and the distinct lack of mancubi.
I don't consider this a separate game, rather just a map pack for Doom 2. Seems like the playstation version does not have all of the maps so I will have to play the PC version.
