Not as innovative as EA tried to make it sound, in my opinion, or at least much less of a leap than we got from part 2 to 3. In fact, in some ways, it feels a bit like a step back as it comes with some more or less minor annoyances (way too many loading screens, no story progression for neighbours aside from coming into being and aging, and so on). However, it does also come with some nice new features (emotions obviously, also the in-game gallery - when it works). All in all, still good casual fun for in between the roleplay epics for me, but I won't be banning Sims 3 from my hard drive just yet.
