Mostly enjoyable Lego game. Breaks for normality by not having levels and being set solely in the open worlds. This means there's no levels to repeat and grind out collectables, but there's still quite a bit of grinding if you wish to get to 100%. Mostly enjoyable Lego game. Breaks for normality by not having levels and being set solely in the open worlds. This means there's no levels to repeat and grind out collectables, but there's still quite a bit of grinding if you wish to get to 100%. DLC was a free download when I played, and was a bit more of the same. If you enjoy Lego games, you'll enjoy this, but maybe not for the initiate.

Disappointing

This game was a slog to play through and just wasn’t very fun. I really don’t recommend this game but hey this might be your cup of tea, who knows?

Fun For Kids, Open World is a Breath of Fresh Air, Super Repetitive

This is a breath of fresh air from the previous LEGO video games I've played. The open world is a ton of fun, but the quests are repetitive and it's all a bit rote. That said, it was something fun for my kid and I to do (she's a huge LEGO Movie 2 fan) so I can't complain too much. I appreciated that the story in the game differs from the story in the movie and though that story is incredibly flimsy and just sort of...ends, it was still more fun than going through the movie step-by-step.
