I've decided to stop playing this after 7 hours in it. Every mission feels the same: a whole bunch of small skirmishes where you position your squads, take on the bad guys, heal up, and then move forward to do another encounter which is just the same. And then at the end after you clear the map, there's a really tedious boss to fight.

I tried some skirmishes, but they're all mad rushes for command points, unopposed. Then your guys slug it out over the last few points. Eventually, somebody wins.

I really enjoyed the first game in the series. I wanna do some turtling! Build some bases; all that fun stuff. But nope, not in this one.

So in conclusion: "bleh."

Its tough to tell how much further I have in this game, but I have to say Cyrus, the Scout Captain, is the only character I have found truly intriguing so far.

Just went through Dawn of War 2 and its expansions Chaos Rising, and Retribution in a row. Had a lot of fun, but I think I'm done with that game forever.
