LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 (2011)

I don’t think I need to go into too much detail about a Lego game or a game adaptation of the Harry Potter series but I will start by briefly summarising, Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7. Like most Traveller’s Tales’ Lego games, you progress through the story by exploring various locations, defeating enemies and solving puzzles. Along the way, you will gather a number of different collectibles, like tokens to unlock more characters.

As you can probably guess, Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 lets you take part in events of the final four films. I would like to point out that I played this on my Vita and like with a lot of Lego games on the handheld consoles, the game was quite short. In fact, the game only covered the key moments in those final films with a lot of the story played out via cut scenes. In fact, most people will easily finish the game in under ten hours.

The developers did pad out the game time by making you replay each level at least once, in order to collect all the collectibles, as you cannot collect everything on your first playthrough as you won’t have the right characters unlocked. There is also a duelling mini game, which allows you to battle against pretty much all of the characters featured in the game. Completing the game one hundred percent is not difficult and will add some more hours onto your experience. I’ll be honest, I would rather have had a few more levels added to the game, rather than have to fight all the characters.

One thing I did want to highlight is an issue I kept encountering. This might be just my Vita but I would experience some serious framerate drop issues. This was resolved by pausing and unpausing the game. Now, like I said, this may just be my Vita but it did have an impact on my experience as it became an increasing problem as I progressed through the game.

Overall, Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is your standard Lego game.I personally wouldn’t recommend the Vita version, as its gameplay length and performance issues did impact my gaming experience. That being said, I haven’t yet played the console version, which may be better value for your money. So, if you are a fan of the Lego games or Harry Potter, I would suggest looking at the console version, rather than this one.

Este foi meu 4° lego platinado (os outros foram: Lego Ninjago: The Movie; Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham; e Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4), e minha 13° platina.

É um jogo legal, e bem melhor que o anterior, tanto em questão gráfica, quanto gameplay. Gostei bastante da mecânica de duelos que fora adicionada, porém há vezes que o NPC decide duelar com magias que você não tem (por exemplo na luta com a Belatrix no fim do jogo, onde ela pede para você usar o "Focus", e não há essa magia liberada pela personagem que controla, fazendo com que você perca um coração de graça).

Fora uma platina rápida de ser feita, como qualquer outro lego, apenas terminar a campanha, pegar os coletáveis, comprar personagem e já era.

O troféu que mais me diverti fazendo com toda certeza foi o "What If...", onde deve-se matar todas as versões do Harry Potter usando o Valdemort.

De forma geral, é um jogo muito bom, a história é uma continuação direta dos anos 1-4, porém, deixando tudo mais obscuro, assim como nos filmes e livros. Mostrando a ascensão dos vilões.

Gostei muito de como fizeram a morte do Snape, obviamente de forma mais cômica, porém ainda chocante, conseguiram passar a visão de que Snape era um agente duplo, trabalhava para Valdemort para conseguir derrotá-lo (assim como nos livros), e que precisou matar Dumbledore para conseguir a Varinha das Varinhas, e posteriormente, morrer para que Valdemort a herdasse.

Sadly this game is weaker than the first one in pretty much all aspects. It feels like the game was a little rushed at times.

This version it's still very buggy and bad programmed. I can hardly make it run at 60 fps. Pretty much every 2 min the game stutters for a whole second. Entire sections of the game running below 30 fps. I had to even configure the game through the Nvidia control panel in order just to make the game playable and dont make it crash.

After this experience and the one from the previous game I'm gonna try to avoid playing LEGO games on the PC and you should do the same

If you still wanna play them on steam go for a sale. Don't buy it a full price.
