Good concept, Poor execution.

I like the ideas thrown in this games. Picking up weapons, Combat, Variety in controls. It's just not done in a great way and the game feels sluggish AF as a result.

What an interesting, miserable experience that was. My favorite kind of experience. In the process of writing a review.

It is almost beyond my comprehension how difficult this game is. Am I missing something? Arcade version.

Just like ApramPepo said--a lot of potential here. Cool idea where you are basically leveling up your equipment throughout a level to then take on a boss battle at the end (tho the near nakedness was unnecessary). As much as I wanted to like it, especially with its cute Look and great potential, the collision masks and gameplay were unacceptable for an arcade game. I was already disappointed with that and then I got to the first boss, feeling good about my upgraded sword etc. After doing a little research, you essentially need a projectile weapon against this boss, and there's no way to go backward at this point. I could replay the level--it was relatively short--but the fact I'm not interested in doing so says a lot. The mediocre controls/collision masks made replaying it--even now that I found a Strategywiki site which would tell me where to find the right upgrades and that's something I normally love doing, especially with "grind"-esque equipment upgrading gameplay--not sound appealing. Too bad too. enter image description here

Damn this final 3 headed boss that won't die! I might put this on hold and get back to it later. Damn you Athena!

Played the 1st level. It was interesting as a Mario clone with a greater emphasis on combat and scavenging enemy weapons. I failed the 2nd level twice due to time running out. It was not like I was playing too slowly so the time limit is ridiculously unfair. I hate time limits, so this game is not for me.
