Paid about $15 for this on sale which is a little too much, < $10 would have been right.
Including the NES versions is a nice feature (but Amiga/C64/Atari/Spectrum/etc. version would be really fascinating for documenting the full history, even if difficult with no keyboard)..
Beast Busters was a fun 30 or 40 minutes, and the analog stick aiming wasn't terrible, and the zombies-with-guns setting is different, the regular enemies and bosses are colorful and creative. But I'd rather play Operation Wolf- maybe on Taito Milestones 3 or later?
Includes the following games: Ozma Wars, Sasuke vs. Commander, Fantasy, Vanguard, Munch Mobile, Alpha Mission, TNK III, Athena, Ikari Warriors, Victory Road, Bermuda Triangle, Guerrilla War, Psycho Soldier, Time Soldiers, World Wars, Chopper I, P.O.W.: Prisoners of War, Paddle Mania, Beast Busters, Ikari III: The Rescue, Prehistoric Isle, SAR: Search and Rescue, Street Smart, Crystalis. Also on the Xbox One version there is an extra game exclusive to that version: Baseball Stars.
Been dabbling with all the games in this collection of retro arcade titles. I think this might be the nicest compilation I've seen yet? Not in terms of game quality (there are a few standouts, but most of them are just okay IMO). I mean in terms of presentation. A very slick UI, lots of nice options, useful features that make these old games easier to play through, and a full-blown museum full of concept art, promotional material, and a timeline detailing all of SNK's earliest games and a bunch of fun facts about each of them.
