hevanlyy's review of Anno 1800

I mean I'm sure for some people this is really fun. I will admit I did spend an inordinate amount of time designing and redesigning my city just to abandon it two weeks later. The thing is, this just wasn't fun for me. It was compelling but definitely not fun. So I stopped and started playing something fun. Because life is short.

So a couple days after launch Ubisoft added Anno 1800 to UPLAY+ again after removing it from the initial launch offering. So I'm about 3 hours into the campaign. It's pretty good, I'm more impressed by the campaign than I was the sandbox mode that I was able to try a few weeks back. If there weren't so many games out right now I might get sunk into it. It's very addictive in the Civilization kind of one more turn. But with Anno it's one more quest, as it is in real time.

So true to reddit they removed Anno 1800 from Uplay+ so if you want it for that. don't bother... Also, you are required to pay them one dollar for your trial. I assume this is so they have your payment info for month 2.

So I played the free trial, and you can't play campaign, i.e. where they teach you how to play. So the Sandbox mode was cool, but I went bankrupt in about an hour. Mostly because I don't think I understand how warehouses and roads work... Idk, I'll wait for Uplay+ and try it for real then.
