Originally thought as an exclusive title, Rayman Legends used the Wii U Gamepad for some functionalities. After going multiplatform, the Wii U and PlayStation Vita versions of Rayman Legends gave the ability to control Murphy in certain stages through touch controls. This interaction was removed from the other versions.

Rayman Legends sorta feels like the Donkey Kong Country 3 of the Rayman series. Meaning it looks and sounds just a mite worse than its predecessor, and has excellent platforming bonafides that it too often ignores in favor of pace-killing gimmick levels. Meaning it looks and sounds just a mite worse than its predecessor, and has excellent platforming bonafides that it too often ignores in favor of pace-killing gimmick levels. It's still a good time, and Barbara the Barbarian is a vastly better addition than Kiddy Kong, but I had more fun with Origins.

Also, my lasting impression was probably soured a bit by the collectable macguffins unlocking the absolute worst set of endgame bonus levels I've ever seen.

A crazy amount of 2D platformer content is packed into this game. Tons of levels, crisp and clean hand drawn art, creativity in both the art and level design, great music, etc.

My son and I started playing this coop today. It’s pretty good for a game with a 5 year old. Did I yell at my son a few times because he just tries to blaze through the level too fast and skips the little guys you have to save? Maybe I’m just trying to teach him how to take his …

Did I yell at my son a few times because he just tries to blaze through the level too fast and skips the little guys you have to save? Maybe I’m just trying to teach him how to take his time and explore games and to play them exactly how I want to play!

How is the Switch version of this game? I'm somewhat feel like getting it for the third time since it's my 2nd favorite 2D game behind Hollow Knight and it's $10.

Questions:

Have the loading times changed after the launch of this port?

Questions:

Have the loading times changed after the launch of this port?

Do the Murfy sections play like the Wii U & PS Vita versions or do they play like the Xbox, Playstation, and PC versions? I'm more of a fan of the latter so this choice is a make or break situation.

Holy crap, I just beat the main story, and there's still half the game left in bonus content. This game is huge.

Rayman Legends is gonna be free on PS+ next month and YOU HAVE TO PLAY IT IF YOU HAVEN'T. Is honestly (along with Rayman Origins) one of the best 2-D platformers out there, even better than some of the Mario games.

I miss when platformers were one of the top genres in videogames.

Completed on PS3.

A fantastic game with beautiful visuals, excellent soundtrack and top-notch controls. Maybe too much recycled/remixed content but that's OK. Oh and the final boss is a bit underwhelming.

If you liked Origins you will love Legends.

The most epic experience yet was the music stage "Castle Rock", which was basically like playing guitar hero through a platformer - I'm probably gonna play it many times more just for the fun of it.

The only negative thing I have to say thus far is that I'm not sold on the levels where you controll a little assistant using touch controls while the AI controls the main character. It makes sense as a 2-player feature (which I'm sure is great fun), but I did not find it particularly fun to do on your own. Be that as it may, Rayman Legends has impressed me, and I look forward to seeing if they can keep the fun up.

I'm nowhere near finished, but this is an amazing platformer. It, so far, has topped Originsand even contains a huge chunk of that game as bonus levels! And my wife is enjoying it, too. Huge win all around!
