I have just completed all of the final Patch 2.55 quests before the official release of the first expansion. I sat through 1 hour and 20 minutes of cutscenes and everything I thought I knew was A LIE!

The only thing that's still true is that I love this game and by everything I have read and been told in either the various Discords I am in or the Novice Network is that the MSQ improves DRAMATICALLY in Heavensward and I was already having a pretty great time.

I'm marking this game as completed and moving on to Heavensward. There's still some ARR content I haven't finished but it's an MMO and the main storyline is now 100% completed so it will be OK.

I know you can never truly "beat" an MMO but this is me accepting the final storyline quest for the base game and it feels amazing! I have subscribed to Ultima Online, EVE Online and Conan Online and tried WoW, TESO, and Rift Online but this is the first MMO I have really, truly gotten into significantly. This is the first time I have done anything close to "beating" an MMO.

I had mini-obsession with some of the previous MMOs I have played but nothing like this. I know level 50 isn't max level in FFXIV anymore but it is as far as the base game is concerned and I have never even been close to that either in any of the previous MMOs in my life.

This is a great game! I love it! I have already preordered the last expansion and can't wait to keep going!

I have been playing nothing but this since I made my last update. I am straight up addicted to it right now. My Bard is at Level 45 and I am pretty close to the end of the base game. I just have about 22 more fetch quests until I am done with A Realm Reborn and can move on (I think?) to the first expansion! I played around with being a Fisherman and a Culinarian when I wanted to take a break from the MSQ but I am not going to focus on those until my Bard is Level 70 with all MSQ completed.

I went ahead and preordered the upcoming expansion too so I can get some nifty items and early access in June. :)

I went on vacation on October and didn't pick it back up when I got back BUT my subscription automatically renewed for another 6 months a few days ago and I decided that it would be a good time to get back into it. I jumped right back in with my Level 31 Archer and am trying to relearn the game.

Driving around in FFXV and listening to the soundtrack to A Realm Reborn really puts me in the mood to dive back into FFXIV. I know it would be a mistake, but I call feel Eorzea calling to me.

Before Heavensward had my Dragoon, White Mage, Paladin, Black Mage, Summoner, and Scholar all in level 50. I completed the first Coil of Bahamut and left shortly after to play other games by the time the Second Coil of Bahamut rolled in.
