I feel like being sneaky. I'm going to be working my way through all the Splinter Cell games I have. This first one has some janky controls and the A.I is crazily inconsistent, but it's still loads of fun. Wow, I miss Michael Ironside. FYI...he's not dead. He just doesn't do the voice of Sam anymore

  1. Wish there was a sound meter like in Chaos Theory.
  2. Seems like enemies have eyes on the back of their head because they see me even when I'm walking slowly behind them.
  3. Shooting is awful. It's understandable because it discourages killing everything, but then they force you to shoot to progress and it just sucks.
  4. Sometimes it's just not clear …

Enjoying it so far, but I feel like the level design is cheap. There’s been a few instances where I can’t figure out how I’m supposed to progress without getting caught, but it’s probably just me not being able to figure out the game.

So this is officially my favourite game. I obsess over this stealth stuff more than I do about anything else, trying the same sequence fifty times if I have to, just so I can sneak past a guard whom I could have taken out in three seconds. And I've had to force-uninstall the game halfway through. It was the only …

And I've had to force-uninstall the game halfway through. It was the only way I could keep myself from playing non-stop.

Hmm, I find that somehow, playing an NSA secret agent is no longer quite the innocent pastime it once was. ;-) Gameplay-wise, however, the game is still awesome fun. After the countless hours I've already spent on this game, you'd think I'd seen it all before and done it all to death, but I still find new ways of solving …

  • Tradecraft is something you don't forget. It's like riding a bike.
  • Or wearing high heels.

That may well be, but I've certainly forgotten the finer mechanics of this game since my last playthrough in 2009. Twenty noob deaths later, my hopes of doing a full-stealth speedrun blindfolded have taken a beating. :-D
