Expansion of Call of Duty
3.79 average rating based on 362 ratings

DLC - An expansion to the original Call of Duty game, also set during World War II.
PROS:
++ Great intro. The expansion had an exciting start with the enemy ambushing the Americans and you having to defend your position in the trenches.
++ Great British campaign. The British campaign (the 2nd of the 3) was by far my favorite. From beginning to end, it was quite exciting. It had a plane shootout, a night infiltration, opportunities to blow up different structures, a pretty exhilarating escape segment, and had a likeable character in Major Ingram.
++ Atmosphere. Just like in the base game, the atmosphere was great. And this applies especially during the first mission of the Russian campaign.
++ More efficient AI. My teammates were much better at taking out enemies in this expansion, but they still blocked my sightlines quite often.
++ Ability to sprint.
CONS:
-- Disconnect. The three campaigns featured in this expansion didn't really connect with one another (at least I don't think so).
-- Minor bug. Encountered an ongoing bug where the game would crash whenever I would Quick Save. Had to go into the files and change something and the issue was fixed. …

-- Less healthpacks. There seemed to be less health packs lying around, which resulted in me playing very reserved throughout the campaigns.
-- Last combat encounter. The last fight in the trainyard was quite annoying. It was too chaotic to the point that it wasn't fun. Anytime I moved a muscle, I would get hit from who knows where, and the enemy plane would also periodically drop bombs that can take you out in one hit. Kind of an annoying way to end the game. Ending was anticlimactic too.
A great extension to an already awesome game. Despite not being a solo title, it has enough content to be considered one. Lengthy campaign, new missions and additions to the gameplay make it even more enjoyable. Wish modern DLCs were more like this.
Additions to gameplay:
Playthroughs: 1x
Difficulty: Hardened
Back in 2007, 12-year old me got absolutely filtered by one of the levels and I couldn't be bothered to go back and finish it. 18 years later I tackle it out of sheer obligation and finally get around to completing it.
Usually when I play older games I always have to keep the era in mind and give the game credit for its innovations, but here I have the perspective of someone who played it back when COD was a WWII franchise and even back then I didn't care.
Today I care just a little bit more than back then. Its a solid shooter that has all the WWII beats down and acts as a good supplemental to the base game's missions. However in the literal 2 decades since we've had much better WWII games so the only real reason to revisit this is to check out the series' roots.
I liked COD1 more than COD2, if only because it had some damn colour. I liked this less than COD1 and about on par with COD2. I gave COD2 a 3/5 and this will get the same.
Activision, a Gray Matter Interactive and distributor of Call of duty united offensive 2004, have done a great job.The story of the game is as follows. In the second world war, they are winning this war between America, Great Britain and Russia, who are fighting Decisively against Germany. The gameplay is as follows.in this game, which consists of 3 parts and 13 parts, you are trying to kill the enemies and pass the part. The music of the game is beautiful. The graphics of the game are not bad.My rating for the game: 10/10 (y) Good games to everyone 🙂

United Offensive consists of additional levels to the American, British and Soviet campaigns, as you’ll fight your way through beautifully crafted environments, like crossing the Ardennes forests dressed in snow, patrolling the starry night skies of Holland or silently infiltrating the cliffs of Sicily with your company. It is just as immersive and atmospheric as the original CoD, with some well scripted moments of its own, having you play historical battles and operations. It’s a cinematic and at times moving experience that stick with you.
I recently learned that Grey Matter Interactive merged with Treyarch after United Offensive, meaning that this game can be considered part of Treyarch's legacy. Its really cool how Treyarch was the COD support studio all the way from the beginning and eventually grew to surpass Infinity Ward in fan reception.
