As with any news of this nature, take the following with a grain of salt until something official is posted by Microsoft.

Xbox Game Pass Will Reportedly Get New Tiers Due To Call Of Duty

Several insiders have claimed that Microsoft is planning on making some changes to the structure of Xbox Game Pass (which could include a price hike) due to the rumoured addition of Call of Duty 2024.

The reports started when gaming insider eXtas1stv tweeted that they "can assure you that changes are coming to Xbox Game Pass Tiers mainly due to Call of Duty". This same claim was made by gaming insider shinobi602 on ResetEra, who also claimed that some changes would be made to the service.

It seems like the details haven't been fully confirmed yet, as both insiders didn't go into detail about what exactly is going to change. The clearest indication we have comes from NateDrake, who backed up the claims made by eXtas1stv on ResetEra and said that the changes will be related to pricing and a tier change.

This indicates that Call of Duty 2024 being on Xbox Game Pass will either result in the service as a whole having a price increase, or a special tier being made that includes Call of Duty at a higher price. It's not entirely clear yet which way Xbox will go with it, but we're sure to find out more over the coming weeks.

Damn this game is good. Like really damn good. Unfortunately it is overshadowed by its highly popular successors and at times considered inferior. Modern Warfare, Black Ops and even World at War are great fun, but this is the 'boots on the ground,' origin of the CoD series. The story isn't great, as it only becomes interesting when you play through the Soviet's perspective, but you do get to meet Captain Price's grandfather who was also apart of the British SAS so that's pretty awesome. The opening sequence of the Battle of Stalingrad during the third act is one of the most intense and insanely accurate moments I've ever witnessed in gaming. The shouting Soviet officers executing deserters, the fear on every soldier's face as most of them knew they were about to die...powerful stuff. And when you're only given 5 bullets and no weapon, that's when all hell breaks loose. Retaking Red Square and all the Russian missions which follow were also pretty great. The American missions also good, especially the opening mission and 'Dawnville.' The combat is fun, it became better as the series went on, but it still holds up quite well and can be enjoyed. Unlike the first two Medal of Honor games, Call of Duty is still a fine game with loads of great memorable moments. Weapons feel real and the friendly AI is accurate. Most friendlies die, but that's just how war is. Visuals aren't amazing, but they still hold up. There's still something beautifully unnerving about fighting through destroyed buildings and rubble, I can't place my finger on it, but I certainly prefer it over jetpacks and glossy futuristic locations. Unfortunately I can't comment on the multiplayer, as I did not get a chance to try it, but from what I've heard, it's quite enjoyable. Definitely still worth picking up the Classic edition on PS3 or Xbox 360 if you're interested, despite the random frame-rate drops. If you have a PC that can still run this game, then by all means give it ago, I'd recommend :)
