Imagine Half-Life but better, that's how impressive this game is. It takes what make Half-Life good, like it's storytelling and combat, and turn it to 11. There's almost no reason to pick up the original if you are new to Half-Life, that's how good the game is. Absolute masterpiece, a remade Half-Life with extremely good and efficient graphics. Xen got a complete overhaul, beautiful alien scenery, more levels, bigger and longer with spectacular events. While it does not hold up as much as Half-Life 2 due to its more grounded story, overall harder difficulty and lacking reach within the community, it is most definitely a worthwhile purchase for the experience of playing its campaign.
