I felt like I could have loved this more--with a great arcade-can-only-do-this-in-84 look with excellent backgrounds, tight controls like always with arcade games, and sounds harkening the Mario era delight--but the jump mechanic was alarmingly rudimentary (you should have so much more control over how high and long you jump and the direction etc) and only 5 unique screens meant my goal was short... and no desire to push for higher score or other configurations on those 5 screens... And the collision masks, especially of the platforms, were very poor... especially considering it's an arcade game not some microcomputer independent platformer... Disappointing overall, tho a fun enough platformer. Great music tho, that jingle had a little Latin feel to it. Welp, Screen 5 already. Was more fun than I'm making it sound, but still disappointing for an arcade platformer of its time. enter image description here

And lol when it's Round 6 that you realize you can control the jumps more than I realized (tho I still find it quite clunky) and there are more than 5 unique screens--just 5 unique backgrounds ha. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood tonight, but even with this good hiscore table music and usual arcade excellence, it just wasn't as excellent as I expect from this era of arcade games. enter image description here
