this game was pretty good. my experience for anyone who has played it(major spoilers ahead): I ignore the NPC, and dont ask questions, i'm looking for the gold and think I can find a tool. I find the woman and kill her because she asks and leave the cave not finding a tool.
Then I answer the NPC's questions as follows:
Why is there blood on your clothes
oh its a long story. kinda tired and too lazy to type to you though. U scared?
Why do you have a knife?
What this old thing?
I hear moaning in the cave what have you done?
Hmm? I dont hear anything?
i watch a lets play on youtube. wondering what the readme is talking about... then i see how the Q/A format works. I figure 'damn i am soooo dead!' but it gets better: email 5 minutes later, ok lets see: "As you left the cave you were confronted by a farmer called Nick. They asked you no questions and decided to let you pass. Not even saying a word. This seems appropriate as you let the previous farmer, kcribo, walk past despite being covered in blood. And that draws an end to your involvement in this story. Thank you for playing."

LOL, thats really something! I can see the idea here was to setup a kind of endless baiting trap of people killing other players but this kinda outcome of non-participation and apathy is more disturbing.

A brilliant and very short game with incredible story telling methods

Moirai is a brilliant game with a great method of story telling. There isn't a whole lot else to say about this 5-10 minute game other than play it.

Story

Moirai is an incredibly short game (7 minutes for me) where you play as a farmer in a village and you investigate a missing woman. To say anymore about the story would ruin it but it is an incredible example of engaging story telling

Gameplay

There isn't much gameplay, you walk around with fairly clunky old-school controls (A/D is turn left/right for e.g). The only thing you do is interact with people to talk to them or objects to inspect them.

Presentation

The graphics also have an old-school appeal reminiscent of early 90's first person games, I think it achieves its desired style well. The audio adds a lot to the tense atmosphere of the game.

It's a free game, 3 minutes in length, and totally mind-blowing.

It's difficult to write a review for this game, because it's so short and anything one can say about this game would spoil the whole thing. The game is available for free on Steam, it's 15mb in size, and it only takes around 2 or 3 minutes to complete (although I played it a couple more times to explore the …

Moirai is a rather simple game, but it has an ingenious mechanic, a brilliant idea. I feel like someone could expand on this basic premise and make something truly remarkable. This game is unique, unlike anything I've ever played before, comparable to nothing. It's not a joke game, it's not a 2 minute walking simulator, it's actually a pretty serious game. The key to this game lies in the strange central mechanic, which I can't mention without ruining it. Thinking now, the only comparable game I can think of is Castle Doctrine.

This is all I can say about it: grab this game, try it out, play it now. It only takes 2 minutes and you won't regret it. Simple, ingenious and unique experience, absolutely brilliant. I'd love people here on Grouvee to have a go at it and comment back what they thought about it, what was their experience. I would also love to see another developer take this idea further.
