Read moreI quit at the first big boss (Tiamat). I quite like Darksiders for a long while. Enough to play over 10 hours of it. While I rolled my eyes at the ridiculous set-up, the combat and levels were interesting and felt meaty to play. The puzzles were nice and the powers varied. I don't like boss battles in general, and this one was annoying as hell. Very specific aiming and timing, coupled with the difficulty of playing on PC and in particular the finicky control of the thrown weapon requiring three of four button presses to line up and use, made worse by the constant need to dodge incoming attacks that break you out of the lining up. Considering one cannot change the difficulty level mid-game and there's no skipping the battle, I just abandoned the game. Too bad, but I wasn't having fun any more. After four or five tries I just quit.
