All these games are weird, but this one made itself even weirder in some ways. It broke the game down into three major arcs that are portrayed as being their own game. Each one is connected and things carry over, but they do all have different narrative structures. For example, the second part is told mostly as four separate paths with each CPU as the main girl while the others follow the more typical pattern of Neptune being the Protagonists of Protagonists. They also added some basic, kind of pointless city development mechanic that has some stuff items and scenes locked behind it.
It was nice to finally find out who this Uzume girl is. She's been an additional character in the remakes of the previous games, but you never get any context on who she is so it always felt random. Kind of how you wouldn't know who the journalists are if you haven't played the beat 'em up game. Also, Big Nep > Nep-Nep.
