Really don't want to use a guide for this game but sometimes it's unavoidable. Very hard game to just play every so often.

Really enjoying this game. Trying to get through my Wii U games before I get a Nintendo Switch and this is at the top of my list. Just slowly plugging away every weekend I can squeeze in a few hours.

Here's a first. My Wii U crashed while playing Wind Waker and I lost about three hours of progress. Apparently none of my manual saves registered and I now have to revisit several islands. It kind of puts me off playing Wind Waker for a bit. At least for the rest of the night.

This was definitely a good Zelda game. I personally loved the story, art style, and music portions the most. The combat is still the generic 3D Zelda style combat from the previous few games. Not too bad, not too great either. The dungeons were usually fun, minus the forest. That forest is trash.

The enemy variation was decent, though im always annoyed at not being able to see health. Both for practical and curiosity reasons. There are different variations of each enemy, so why not make the health bar a standard thing. I know there is an item you can get that shows them, but its a bit of a chore.
Bosses were interesting, though easy. I didnt actually die till about half an hour before the game ended. And i had only slightly about the minimum amount of health you could get by that point.
Overall, a good game. Not my favorite Zelda by any means, but a good game.
Also Zelda shot me with an arrow. It wasnt very nice.

I sadly didn't get to play this with my nostalgia goggles on, and, while I see how people could really dig it, this wasn't for me. I sadly didn't get to play this with my nostalgia goggles on, and, while I see how people could really dig it, this wasn't for me. The controls were infuriating at times (trying to keep the bow out and aim it with the same thumb, while on a moving platform, attempting to shoot some nondescript portion of a stone eyeball made almost gave me palsy), and the combat system was overly repetitive for my taste. Also, the whole conducting thing made me think that the developers really wanted an Ocarina again, but settled for waving a stick.
On the positive side, the story was charming, and the music was phenomenal. I have a feeling hardened Zelda fans will love it, and the HD remastering is a beautiful reason for any of them to play through it again.

Excellent as the original with a gorgeous new coat of paint. A fantastic (even if somewhat dated) experience! A few minor tweaks greatly cleans up the pacing in the second half of the game and prevents the drag that was the original triforce quest.
Absolutely loved playing through this classic again, the only thing that could have made it better …

Absolutely loved playing through this classic again, the only thing that could have made it better would be if it was my first time through.
