The game is set in 2018 where a new artificially created disease begins to spread throughout the city, becoming a pandemic. As it is a new and unknown disease, it has no cure, but Derek, being a descendant of the Greek god of medicine, Asclepius, was born with an ability called "Healing Touch", an ability that allows him to heal diseases considered incurable. During surgeries, the young nurse Angela Thompson (Derek's assistant) stays by his side, helping him with information on the top screen of the DS while the surgery takes place on the lower screen (touch screen). In the main story, you will have to perform 37 surgeries, but after completing the game, 7 more surgeries are unlocked, giving us a total of 44 surgeries. The game addresses very complex themes such as suicide and euthanasia in a phenomenal way. Despite being a game about surgeries, it is not at all unpleasant to look at; in fact, I recommend it for people who are afraid of hospitals to help them overcome their fear. However, I must warn you that the game is very challenging.
