Ryuji Decries the idea of a truce between Omi and Tojo and tries to stage a coup, but is interrupted and arrested by the Osaka police led by Detective Kaoru Sayama. Sayama makes a deal with Kiryu to help him stop the Omi threat in exchange for information about tojo, as he believes he is connected to the disappearance of his parents as a child. Kiryu and Sayama discover that the Omi patriarchs Ryo Takashima and Toranosuke Sengoku have hit them and that Daigo and Jin Goda have been kidnapped. The two flee to Tokyo, where detectives Makoto Date and Jiro Kawara are investigating the bombing of the Kazama family offices by the Jingweon mafia, a Korean Syndicate thought to have been assassinated by Tojo in 1980. Fearing an invasion by Omi and Jingweon, Kiryu recruits former allies Goro Majima and Sai's Florist for help and rescues Daigo, preventing a coup staged by Koji Shindo, the second Patriarch of the Nishikiyama family. During Terada's funeral, Ryuji tells Tojo that he will give them three days to mourn, after which his men will attack Kamurocho. Kiryu and Sayama find out that the three Jingweon men survived the massacre and went into hiding. The two find a survivor in Osaka, who claims that Jingweon will not stop until either Tojo is destroyed. The survivor also reveals that the Jingweon boss's wife Sueyon and her child survived the massacre thanks to kawara, but were killed before he could reveal more. Sengoku kidnaps Haruka to trap Kiryu, but Kiryu defeats all of Sengoku's forces. Sengoku tries to escape, only for Ryuji to kill him for defying his three-day grace period. In History, Tokyo Metropolitan police Inspector Wataru Kurahashi discovers that he is a Jingweon survivor and is using his position to hide Jingweon's operations. Kurahashi takes the Date and Sai pledges to the Florist, only for Kiryu, Sayama and Kawara to come and defeat him. Kurahashi tells sayama that his parents are Kawara and Suyeon. While this distracts them, Kurahashi shoots Kawara before being shot by Sayama. Before dying, Kawara confessed that Suyeon was killed by Jingweon after Sayama's birth, because she refused to join Jingweon's quest for revenge and gave her and Sueyon's other child to different families, thus keeping them safe and ruthlessly hunting down the syndicate members. Florist Sai discovers that Jingweon has planted bombs in Tokyo and plans to detonate them on the anniversary of the massacre, when ryuji plans to invade the city. On the night of the invasion, Kiryu and his allies disarm the bombs and defeat Ryuji's men. Ryuji challenges Kiryu to the final battle atop the Kamurocho Hills construction site. Arriving, Kiryu also finds Jin Goda and Sayama, who are trying to dissuade Ryuji from fighting after learning from Kurahashi's files that he is Sueyon's other child. Shamelessly, Ryuji fights Kiryu and eventually loses. Terada appears and reveals that she is the last survivor and the leader of Jingweon. To weaken them, he threw Tojo and Omi at each other so that Jingweon could destroy them both and fill the power void. Kiryu defeats Terada's men, but Takashima shows up and shoots kiryu, protecting Terada's identity in exchange for power. However, Takashima kills Jin Goda and Terada in order to usurp them and become the leader of the Jingweon and Omi Alliance. Terada reveals a hidden time bomb when he dies, and Takashima tries to escape, but is killed by Ryuji. Believing that neither can escape in time given their injuries, Ryuji and Kiryu have a final battle, with Kiryu emerging victorious, as ryuji accepts Kiryu's power and dies in his half-sister's arms. The bomb turns out to be fake, set up by terada as a distraction in case Takashima is a traitor, the bomb's fuse had never been found in the first place, and Kiryu and Sayama become a couple and return to Osaka with Haruka. The gameplay is as follows.in this game consisting of 16 chapters, you are trying to complete the tasks. The music of the game is beautiful. If you are not too obsessed with graphics and you like retro games, this game is for you.My rating for the game: 10/10 (y) Good games to everyone 🙂

This guy's got the best hoodie in a video game.enter image description here

And you know what we do to people with the fart hoodie?

Edit: ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? THEY GOT RID OF THEM IN KIWAMI 2. NO WONDER THE REMAKE IS INFERIOR. Glad I chose to play the PS2 version instead.

It's crazy that the development behind this game is short(10 month long development time) yet it manages to feel even more polished than the remake of its predecessor that came out 10 years later (which moreso sloppily took the foundation of 0), let alone, its predecessor. And also being larger in scale compared to 1 with a new area albiet smaller than Kamurocho.

So far, this is my favorite beat em' up combat to play with in the series (0, Kiwami, and currently 2) despite the slow heat build up. The basic combos feel so much faster, yet still feel punchier than the rush style in 0/Kiwami. I love the feel of the lock on here. I LOVE the turning attack quickly transitioning you into a rush combo and how you can perform it at any time in the combo.

And the story kicks off strong too. A year after the events of the first game, you can tell that the Tojo Clan is damaged here and how Kiryu still wants to make things right. It's a briskly paced game too.

Also a man gave me 30,000 yen for winning a single prize from the crane game. God bless.

Liked this one loads better than Yakuza 1. I would even suggest people start with this game, and skip the 1st. But, with Kiwami coming to the English world this year, maybe the remake of 1 will supplant the actual first game. This one had a much more interesting story, no English VO (god bless), improved combat and many fun events backed with excellent writing/translation. Yakuza 2 is pretty fun!
