Yakuza Kiwami Update #8

Purgatory gets attacked by 3 of the local gangs each sporting a different color. During the attack, Haruka is kidnapped. Kiryu goes aroune town beats down the gangs, only to find out that Haruka was taken by the Snake Flower Triad. It was upon their order that Haruka was kidnapped. Kiryu was apparently tortured by that gang in the past and its leader, Lau Ka Long due to a dispute over fake passports, but he was saved by Kazama

Yakuza Kiwami Update #7

Met up with Nishkiyama at Serena. After a few more flashbacks we find out that the doctor that Nishkiyama was gathering money for, high tailed it out of there and ran off - meaning that Nishkiyama basically wasted all that time for nothing. Time he could have spent with his dying sister, or finding other means for a cure for her. We also discover that it was Nishkiyama's men who accidentally killed Yumi's sister, Mizuki, much to Nishkiyama's dismay. All he wanted to do was to find out where Yumi was since she was apparently linked to the missing 10 billion yen from the Tojo Clan, and the way to do that was through Mizuki. But with her dead, Nishkiyama finds out that the little girl, Haruka, and the pendant she's wearing is worth 10 billion yen.

Nishkiyama demands that Kiryu turn over the girl to him and his men, and of course Kiryu refuses. Driven by jealously of Kiryu from the past, feeling worthless that he couldn't help his sister or his friends, and lastly desiring to rise up the ranks of the Tojo Clan, Nishkiyama angrily declares that Kiryu is no longer his brother and sends his men to attack him within Serena. An epic fight ensues, Kiryu beats down everyone, and is now on the run.

Yakuza Kiwami Update #6

Majima man... that dude will go to great lengths just to fight Kiryu lol xD. First he invites Kiryu to a "welcome home" party at a Japanese strip club, and it turns out to just be Majima dancing on a pole. Secondly he pretends to be a bartender that mixes expensive drinks and charges prices so high that Kiryu cant afford it, so he's forced to fight him when he tries to skip his tab (those drinks are just from a local store btw). And then he launches a fake full scale zombie invasion to get Kiryu to fight lol xD. This guy is HILARIOUS

Yakuza Kiwami Update #5

Haruka runs away because we investigated her mum without her and refused to tell her the truth. She gets kidnapped by a mysterious organization and is taken to Serena. We save her, but she gets shot in the arm. Afterwards, we figure keeping Haruka in Purgatory is the safest option. To relax, Kiryu and Haruka go to an underground gambling house.... turns out she's a god at gambling and never messes up. We find out the dealer begins to cheat since Haruka is good. Kiryu beats the crap out of him and the security. The gambling house owner steps in, apologizes, and compensates us. Its time to meet up with Nishkiyama.

Yakuza Kiwami Update #4

Oh frick forgot to add this. Yumi gave Haruka a pendant while she was at the orphanage, which supposedly is worth 10 billion yen. So Yumi and Mizuki are prime suspects for stealing from the Tojo Clan. And apparently Mizuki's dead body has been found. With her signature flower tattoo on her chest being the identifying feature. Going to investigate where she got the tattoo to find any leads.

Yakuza Kiwami Update #3: Lol I really need to do a better job staying up to date with these lol

Kiryu gets out of prison after 10 years. Masaru Sera, the third chairman of the Tojo clan is killed. Kiryu attends the funeral to meet up with his mentor Kazama who is shot by a sniper (killed?) before revealing to Kiryu who may have taken the 10 billion yen. Kiryu escapes, Shimano tries to stop him, he fails and gets beaten up. Kiryu is rescued by Date-san, who was the homicide detective investigating the Dojima assassination and who believed Kiryu was innocent. He was demoted for insisting Kiryu was innocent. Kiryu goes back to Serena, meets up with his old friend Reina. She reveals to Kiryu that Yumi's sister, Mizuki, actually worked at Serena until last year. Kiryu investigates the whereabouts of Mizuki in order to find out what happened to Yumi. This eventually leads him to finding Mizuki's daughter, Haruka, who was raised in Sunflower Orphanage. Apparently Yumi was always visiting Haruka and bringing letter to her from Mizuki. Its later revealed that Yumi and Mizuki may be linked to the missing 10 billion yen that were stolen from the Tojo clan. Ummmm what else. Uhhhh... you meet up the Florist of Sai at Purgatory who has cameras and informants all over Kamurocho. You help him with his son and his girlfriend running away from a family gang. You help Date-san with his daughter being manipulated by a boy host. lAnd uhhhh... I think thats it lol xD. More stuff happened but thats the main points

Yakuza Kiwami Update #2: Was definitely not expecting the game to go from 0 to 100 so quickly lol. Really enjoying the combat so far, reminds me of like an old school arcade fighter for some reason xD. Like that one arcade adventure mode in Tekken where you can pick a character and fight waves and waves of enemies. Fun stuff.

So here's the low down, before I forget and play any further xD. You play as Kiryu, a yakuza next in line to head the Dojima family. One of your childhood friends, Yumi, who I assume is crushing on you (and vice versa) is suddenly kidnapped by your boss because he can't keep his greasy sausage fingers to himself. Your other childhood homie Nishikiyama decides to shoot the fool for getting a little too grabby with Yumi (understandable, F that guy, you know how much trouble it was to get that ring for Yumi lol). Next thing you know, BAM. 10 years in prison. You take the fall for Nishikiyama out of the goodness of your heart. Turns out Nishikiyama is now the head of the Dojima family (I think, he's the head of something), Yumi has gone missing and has post traumatic stress that caused her to lose her memory, and 10 billion yen has been reported missing from the yakuza... according to Nishikiyama. Oh and your good ol pal with the one eye patch, forgot his name xD, is constantly stalking you because he wants to fight.
