Originally, From Software intended to use Loran Clerics at various points throughout Bloodborne’s campaign. And this newly uncovered boss variant was originally to be a rare boss at the end of the Loran Chalice Dungeon.
The Loran Cleric boss is a fireball slinging baddy with several flame attacks. It’s a hunched over creature that looks similar to the Female Beast Patient enemy from Old Yharnam. It’s hooded, with what looks like spikes coming out of its face. The boss variant looks almost identical to its basic enemy form.

Well, started my first ever Souls game today and..... I hate it so far? It feels like I'm fighting with a piece of paper. Hitboxes feel incomprehensible. I have no idea what my objective or reason for existing is. The hitstuns enemies get you in are insane. Enemy AI somehow feels unfair an idiotic at the same time. I just do not get the appeal so far. I don't feel like I'm getting better or growing. I'm just dying a lot and making no progress. What am I missing?

I had no idea what was going on (what do fair and foul mean?), died immediately, was sent to a graveyard (?) I couldn’t exit, deleted the game.

I came, I saw, I sold back to GameStop.
Bloodbourne is a fantastic game filled with ambience, lore, challange, and dripping with atmosphere that I really took to.
But you'd have to put a gun to my head to get me to touch it again. It'll be a real great pick for a lot of people, but not me.

Not for me. Free on PS + so I figured I would give it a go. No kidding when they say it's a challenging and difficult game.... First time defeating the Blood-Starved Beast without summoning an NPC or another player.
My goal with this run is beating the game without any kind of help and finishing the optional labyrinths.
Wish me luck.

I had my first contact with a souls game two years after. I've decided to try Darks Souls 2 on my ps4 and it was a charming experience! So when I finished it I knew Bloodborne should be the next From Software's game because I've heard a lot about the good level design and the unique ambience and aesthetics, I just needed a little break to get back and face another souls.
And that's how I became in one of the last fans of this awesome game! I've enjoyed every blood drop, every combat and of course every dead. I really liked the background story and how it evolves from a Stoker's like one to a more complex cosmic horror Lovecraftian story and I really liked the level design and every corner of that damn city.
I'll recommend this game to everyone that enjoys deep combat systems, exploring maps discovering by yourselves and and for those who do not worry about dying and repeating, improving, dying, repeating, learning and so on... and for those who are not afraid to face the most horrible creatures ever seen by the human eye.
I think I'll play again, when I recover my sanity :P
PS: If you want to try this game maybe you should take a look into this little started guide.

Picked this up, too, because a friend was playing and I thought we could play together. Bummer that they make it a drag to party up. I figured we could just play together without jumping through hoops.
