Dan Brown's assessment of accessibility in games for 2020 is out, and as always is worth watching:

I didn't think I would enjoy so much this game. Sure I enjoyed playing through the first one and obtaining a Platinum trophy out of my gaming hours for it. The story is good, not a memorable one true but it keeps track of the Spider-Man mood franchise. Swinging across the city has an excellent feeling, the combat mechanic has some slight new mechanics and the photo mode kept me glued on my seat more time than I should've spent on it. I read lot of people winig becuase they considered as a DLC but they are so wrong, like "Lost Legacy" it may have been thought and pul on the PS5 at the last minute but this is truly a new Spider-Man story shorter than the PS4 one. Once the game beaten a new difficulty mode appears and still some gear, suit, story lines and trophies to obtain. I'm really enjoying my replay through the game with the Spider-cat costume :) On the downside, the game has sometimes some severe crashes for no reason. In fact, Miles Morales is the only game crashing randomly for no reason on my PS5. Demon's Soul or Bugsnax don't seem to have any issues whatsoever. This can cause a bad buzz for the game but for those true spider-man affecionados, they now they need to overcome this obstacle and enjoy this new story. Go buy it !

My girl friend got me a PS5 (don’t worry a ring will be coming lol) with miles morales. That being said I’ll have to adjust my backlog around. So I’ll be playing miles instead of yakuza 0 for the time being.

Just finished my New Game+ run on Ultimate. I have so many feelings about this game, some mixed. It’s an incredibly well crafted game, but also one that could have made some braver and bolder choices. I have to think about this one a bit before I finally decide how I feel about it.

Regardless, I love that Miles Morales!

For anyone else who has completed Spider-Man Miles Morales, for a moment there I was afraid I was going to have to shoot Marauder Shields to beat the game.

I am enjoying the festive feel of this game. Earlier today I found a gingerbread house:

First impressions: Wowy zowy! The opening set piece is a worthy successor to the original and the whole thing felt smooth and incredibly appropriate for a post-Into the Spider-Verse world.

Visually, it’s stunning but I honestly can’t guess what the other modes will look like. Reflections look great in motion but I can’t tell while playing if I’m looking at …

Also high praise for Insomniac once again for their UX. Controlling Miles feels almost instinctual. I have't played Spider-Man since its launch yet the controls in this game feel like second-nature. That is a testament to good, intuitive design that I can walk away from a franchise for two years and instantly feel at home as if I never stopped playing it the moment I picked up the new instalment. I'd be lying if I said that that level of great control design isn't part of why I also love Ratchet & Clank as much as I do.

Couldn’t help myself. I’ve been waiting for this since I finished Insomniac’s Spider-Man. Excited to dig in later today!
