Toren has some significant flaws. However it presents asaesthetically and musically as a very pleasing object. Read moreToren has some significant flaws. However it presents asaesthetically and musically as a very pleasing object. Combat is very simple (and could be more satusfying, as are the few puzzles, however the experience of moving through the spaces coupled with the construction of myth is what made the game worthwhile during my play through. Toren is definitely an attempt to pull from games like Zelda, Ico and Shaodow of the Colosus. I'm not certain that was one hundred percent successful, but I appreciate the attempt to pay homage. While not perfect, I enjoyed my time with Toren.
