It is the first time I feel kinda angry(?) because I don't like a game I played. This game had ambition with a new system that if done properly could have put to shame the Storm games for sure. The way you could land many different jutsu and how you could use the pins to boost your stats was amazing. I did not even care about the fact that it's a "filler game". For the first 2 hours I was happy being Naruto doing missions for Konoha. I had a blast. And then I started to see issues everywhere.

The game is repetitive. You always do the same type of missions. I don't care if the story is not canon to the anime or manga, just put variety in it. To add on that, the fact that you were always mostly playing Naruto did not help this issue. I'm happy I could use some support character tho, but the game was not enough complex to have enough fun with just Naruto.

I hate the way you can't retry a mission when you fail one. It's stupid really. I had to reboot my PS2 just for that. About the missions, if I did not receive a pin, the reward always felt worthless. I could always walk around the map to grind points for upgrades.

Graphics were great tho and the idea they had going for the way you fight was very interesting. I can't say I enjoyed completing this game. Still, maybe in some weeks or months I'll try the sequel. 2.5 for this one.
