Come for the groove, stay for the story beats that grabs your heart from inside out, pulls it out, offers you a replacement if you stay a bit longer and hope for the best. But when it wants to groove.....

it can groove. (check out feisty flowers on the ost if you don't believe me, thank me later)

So from what got spoiled accidentally by, apparently(blurred bit is a spoiler for everhood just in case you didn't know) everhoods ending does not actually want you to do a pacifist ending, instead suggesting that you should kill them. In other words, basically the venus flytrap of undertale fans who were thinking this was just like it. So far, the game is fun though and its mysteries are intriguing enough to keep me hooked(you should definitely try everhood if you haven't though- especially if you're into undertale).

3.5/5-ish. I really liked the combat system. I think the game is absolutely worth it for this aspect, as there are plenty of creative and fun battles in here with stellar music. However, the plot, to me, fell flat. I think some characters were entertaining and somewhat endearing, but when the story tried to clearly make you feel emotional it didn't deliver. I think a bit more focus and maybe a more expansive story could have helped. I was kinda confused at the end. Also, on a technical level, there is no reason for these loading times (on Nintendo Switch)! It could have used an actual loading screen for this.

I still do recommend this. Fun little game.

Absolutely fantastic game, if you liked Undertale you'll like this. It's challenging but has accessibility options, i played in hard (which looks like the default difficulty) and had a ton of fun as the gameplay is really smooth. The characters have a lot of personality and the story raises a lot of super interesting philosophical questions without being pretentious. Easy …

Easy 5/5 from me, could easily consider this a masterpiece if it ends up leaving a bit of legacy like UT did.

So... it's an Undertale rip off with timing based battles? And a literal Gaster clone? Has anyone played this yet and can say anything about it?
