Pales to Arc the Lad, But A High-Quality Early TRPG Nonetheless

Preliminary: I was real skeptical at first, and I am not a fan of the isometric controls, but the connection to Final Fantasy Tactics (which I've heard such good things about) and good music got me pushing through a bit... but we'll see.

This seems like a lot of extra, unnecessary menus. And mid-battle chats. I do like the item collection during it, but otherwise quite sluggish. Probly 2 star and move on...

Day 2

Yea I really don't like how little I actually play and wait a lot and ltos of mid-combat dialog and menus. But the progression is really nice, making me feel strong for now (tho I assume that will change) and good music continues.

Neat how after liberating a place you get Shop, Training, and Recruitment. Well-done. And a nice-looking map too.

Yeahhhh as neat and well-done as this is, it's just too many menus and convoluted in the battle system. Probly great for fans of TRPGs, but too sluggish for me. And the repeated character sprites is making me giggle :-p

Look: 7.5/10

Sound: 7.5/10

Play: 6.5/10 I really don't like isometric views, and couldn't get far with the battle system. Arc the Lad is the early TRPG for me

Feel: 6.5/10 If Arc the Lad hadn't predated this, this would probly get an honorary 3 star. But as it is...

Attachment: 6.5/10

Overall: 6.9/10
