Enjoyed preparing for and doing the Mewtwo raid. I think it was mostly because it was refreshing to play something cutesy for a change. Kinda craving that so I'm tempted to buy the coming DLC but I'm also thinking of picking up a farming sim instead. Not really in the place to pick up anything new though so high chance that after Persona 5 Royal I'll just go back to my New Horizons island and go through the DLC content there that I've barely touched.

Sometimes I can't help but wonder if GameFreak remembers that these games are for children as I lose yet another attempt at the Rillaboom raid...

Like, yeah, maybe I'm being a bit entitled, but I really don't think a challenge for children should require a bunch of research and YouTube videos and exploits just to clear...

Did the Delphox tera raid. My friend has Pokémon Home so he used a locally unavailable Pokémon. We tried with one of my Pokémons (untrained in those nitty gritty ways because I hadn't had the time) but that didn't work so he just lent me another one of his. I don't know if that contributed to it but the experience was not as fun as before. If I had spent time and trained a Pokémon for this raid, would I have gained more satisfaction or has this event really lost its luster (for me)? Perhaps it's also just one of those days.

Tried EV training by battling specific pokémon instead of giving vitamins. Not as bad as I imagined. Tried EV training by battling specific pokémon instead of giving vitamins. Not as bad as I imagined. It helps that I don’t need to battle with the pokémon I’m training and I just need to keep them in my party with the correct hold item. This seems good enough for the seven star raids and that works for me because I can’t be bothered with IVs yet. I am not a fan of how there are all these stats.

Through the course of my previous gameplay, I realized that there are some pokémon designs that I still really like. That kinda made me excited again to play these games.

Comencé el juego sin mucha ilusión por los errores. La historia es MUY BUENA. De las mejores desde hace varias generaciones. Me enganchó y caí en el falso mito de que puedes hacer las cosas "como te dé la gana". ¿Qué pasó? Fue un reto en un momento dado, perdiendo combates incluso y después... Un paseo.

Los errores no fueron excesivamente graves aunque he tenido varios crasheos. Lo que si que me hizo dejarlo fue tras completar la historia principal y decidirme a capturar los pokemon ver que tardaban muchísimo en cargar. Tener un montón de encuentros inútiles porque me aparecían en la cara los pokemons pequeñitos.

Al final completé la pokedex y las cajas, con 401 pokemon diferentes (399, dando mi miraidon por un koraidon) y los 2 legendarios. Y las incursiones se me hicieron pesadísimas. Muchos problemas para entrar a una, 60 segundos para refrescar...

En fin, me ha dejado un horrible sabor de boca ver como anunciaban el dlc a pesar de tantos problemas de rendimiento, hacia mucho que no me desilusionaba así con GameFreak/The Pokemon Company/Nintendo.

Eso sí, el juego incluye muchas facilidades para el competitivo que creo que deben mencionarse. Por fin todos podemos participar.

Got sick and can’t do much. Didn’t want to think so picked this up again. Finished the postgame - surprised that it wasn’t difficult. Tried completing the pokedex but still have a little over a hundred more to go, and I’m almost fully recovered now and itching for something else. Maybe someday. Not really sold on the dlc yet.

10 minutes of walking in a circle just for my guy not to evolve to spend 10 more minutes walking in circles! Excellent game design!

Tried maximizing stats for the first time. I didn’t like how to do it here. It feels complicated in a not-fun manner. Digimon games need some stat management to get certain evolutions, and doing that there wasn’t quite dreading.

Played it again last weekend because a friend wanted to do the Greninja raid. We [mostly I] were ill-prepared and unsuccessful so we're doing it again after two weeks. I got motivated to get one of my pokemons ready - looking up guides online to see which stats to maximize and what moveset to have. I've always thought I'd never do such a thing for a pokemon game but playing with someone changed the gaming experience for me. I totally get the multiplayer appeal, and I like it. I don't think I would have picked up this game again otherwise, and I'm even considering doing the postgame now.

I feel like this is a slippery slope because it's making me want to try an mmorpg where I can join a party and maybe play with the same people more regularly.

The game had some slowdown, and crashed on me once, but this is getting closer to the ideal pokemon game and happy they took the big chances. Have a pokedex of almost 300 pokemon and rolled credits.

Well I've finished gym badges, elite four (five?!), went against the titans and now need to get through the zero zone/ area or whatever it's called. I need a break from this though, massively underwhelming after Arceus (my return to the series after a while away). All in all though I just didn't find it that fun. Meh.
