And I'm so glad it turned out that way, since playing this game all over again was something to remember. I absolutely loved the goofy and silly humor, as well as the pop culture references scattered all over the game. Something that tries really hard to be always funny usually ends up becoming very repetitive, but Jazzpunk always found a way to surprise me in terms of jokes and story. Very short, but 100% worth it! If you want some good laughs and absurd stories (as well as humor), this game is perfect for it!

Jazzpunk is an adventure game that revels in its weirdness, at times to the sake of its own comedy or approachability. That said, its run provides quite the entertaining little adventure with plenty of seemingly meaningless but fun gags along the way.

Jazzpunk is an adventure game that revels in its weirdness, at times to the sake of its own comedy or approachability. That said, its run provides quite the entertaining little adventure with plenty of seemingly meaningless but fun gags along the way.
The game takes place in an alternate reality where Japan has taken over most of North America (Japanada) but that has little significance. An agent named Polyblank is given medicine to alter reality so he can carry out nonsensical missions near a Soviet consulate, Chinatown, and on vacation.
The objective can be a bit obtuse to figure out at times but the game has plenty of red herrings and side quests along the way to keep the player in a very exploratory mood. Hitting up a theater to enjoy some toy commercials, degaussing pigeons, digging for buried treasure, swatting flies, robbing a cyber-bank, and participating in a Quake clone called "Wedding Quake". The game isn't too long so while a lot of these things are entertaining distractions they don't detract too much from the main objective which only lasts a couple of hours.
The setting, visuals, and music definitely set the mood more than anything else. A smash of paranoid 50s espionage, cyberpunk and computer references and straight up absurd jokes (trash inspection award? Pizza and sai thrown at a turtle on the beach?) but some of it's bound to make a sensible chuckle here and there. The music is jazzy and at times grating but again, nothing is too long to get too old.
Jazzpunk is a wacky time that throws a lot of elements at the wall and while not all of them are rip-roaringly funny, it's worth nudging every corner of the world to see what fun little details pop out.

I played with the Steam Controller. Since it is still effectively an FPS, I probably shouldn't have done that. But there are only a couple of times where precise aiming was key, and they were optional, so no biggie.
If you like late night drunken giggling at stupid bizarre stuff, this Bud's for you.

Cyperpunk Austin Powers meets Stanley Parable in alternate history with retro Abstract Art
:drumrolll: What is this? I dont know but its fun and pretty Fab. Rare are games where puzzles are fun in your adventure, but this was pretty entertaining and well made. If there is a way to play it on Oculus Rift, It would be the ideal type of game I'd want to play on OR. :Saxophone:

Really enjoyed Jazzpunk. It's funny, irreverent, and quirky in a way that almost nothing else is. It's a little short (maybe 2.5-3 hours?) and that's my only complaint. It's not the length that's the problem, it's just that it somehow feels like there was supposed to be another hour or so. I honestly don't know why, and I'm unable to …

Jazzpunk is hilarious, inventive and even has some decent game play to boot. You do a lot of walking around since it's an adventure game, but it does do a good job of sprinkling some other mechanics throughout.
