Far Cry 1 but good
As a kid I played the OG version, I see this version doesn't really have many positive reviews, I figure this is because it launched in a very bad state, but it looks like it got patched pretty good, I didn't have any major problems so this review is more based on the core game not how the remaster was …

Crysis is famously known for being a PC destroyer and I can see why, even the older version of the game looks reeaally good. If you played the first Far Cry you will see how similar these two games are, actually this is almost like a sequel. I didn't like Far Cry 1 to be honest but Crysis somehow won me over.
It's huge jungle areas where you complete objectives is amazing as were in Far Cry 1, the suit you get is amazing and the overall freedom to objectives is the biggest positive this game has. You can pretty much go through the game all stealthy or you can blow shit up. The AI is really busted sometimes, they can spot you from miles away sometimes and sometimes they don't see you right in front of them, but it's not nearly as bad as in FC1, the suit really helps to improve this too, if it weren't for the cloak I can see how I would hate this as I did FC1. You can get away with a lot if you use the suit properly, which is really the point of the game. You are a super soldier, sure you can get wrecked pretty quickly if you are not careful, but after some time you realize how OP you actually are.
If you think about it they did the same shit they did with FC1, first half of the story you fight humans, the second half some kind of monsters, this time it was aliens, in FC1 it was mutants. I'm not a big fan of either to be honest, the aliens and the story is interesting, but fighting them is not, especially in the parts where you are swimming (or flying?) around their huge mothership. It does bring in some variety and the action is still great but fighting small alien drones is just soo dull, and also those damn flying things... The final boss is also a drab, but okay, the majority of the game is great so I guess it does offer something different towards the end to keep it fresh even though it is not as good.
Overall I think this game still holds up amazingly, even though the physics and the AI can be really goofy sometimes.
