I'm on Observation Duty 5 (2022)

Growing up, I would often play these hidden object computer games with my mom. They were simple little things that had a light story to accompany the Where's Waldo-esque core gameplay of clicking on objects hidden in environments filled to the brim with random stuff. The I'm on Observation Duty series scratches a similar itch, though now I'm much older and playing with friends over a stream instead.

Here you need to keep watch over a collection of rooms via security cameras, memorizing their layouts so that when something moves, appears, or disappears you can report where the change occurred and what kind of change it was. It's a neat blend of those old Spot the Difference games for kids and Five Nights at Freddy's style of security cam horror.

I've been following this series for a while now, mostly through various Youtubers, but my partner finally picked up this one so that we could play it with friends during our game nights. It's as simple as it sounds, but very fun! The variety of "anomalies" that can occur in each room helps keep things fresh for each level, with the most wild ones typically being creepy people wandering into the rooms and the black hole "abysses" that can show up and swallow everything up if you don't deal with them in time.

I could see this being less fun when played solo but it's a great time if you've got someone with you and you want a simple, fun game with horror elements.
