Okay so I've got Archery, Magery, Fishing, Tailoring and Anatomy... crap I forgot something didn't I. What can you really say? It exists now only as a shining beacon in our memories. Now a dark shadow of what it once was. It was arguably the first and the best MMORPG there ever was. If you played it, you know what I'm talking about, and if you didn't - I wish you could have been there to see it.
Basically the best thing I can say about it is this: A lot of MMORPG games have in them somewhere... a table, chairs and the ability to actually sit down and eat something. Ultima Online is the only one of them in which I actually invited friends to meet me in game and do so... IN A VIDEO GAME. UO, man, it just put you there.
Best Traits:
- Unhinged sense of exploration and sharing of an open world.
- Deeply rewarding skill system that encouraged multiple characters to support each other. Choices, Choices.

Ultima Online is, apparently, still available to play still via Broadsword Online Games / Mythic Entertainment.
They've also recently acquired SWTOR which gives me hope that the game will be preserved and available for many more decades to come.
I've been having some fun lately checking out older/now "dead" MMOs, it's almost always worth the install and hour or two of intrigue that follows.
I will definitely be giving UO a shot soon on my CRT gaming setup. I have heard that it was one of the greatest MMO experiences ever, and still holds the title to this day. While I expect some of that glory to be faded, everything I have seen about the game looks appealing.
