Cleared Tournament Mode (Arcade)
My thoughts:

Best. Arcade Tennis. Ever. At least to me. Games are fast-paced (Ball travels faster than Mario Tennis) with intense rallies, but the mechanics are still super easy to pick up! It also just feels more intense since the game still uses an adrenaline-pumping 90s/2000s Sonic Adventure styled guitar riffs music, which was unfortunately dropped in favor of techno beats in Virtua Tennis 2 and 4.
The most unrealistic part of the game is how you don't get punished for constantly diving at the ball so you tend to constantly spam it, but then again so was Mario Tennis too. I'll let that slide since this is still an arcade physics after all, but it's worth noting if you want a more authentic tennis experience (which in that case you probably should be looking at Top Spin 4 instead of the Virtua Tennis series from what I read about)
Man this makes me really sad how the arcade tennis genre is entirely dead in modern day gaming... along with mostly dead modern arcade racing and arcade golf titles. Even if we do get a new game in these genres, it absolutely doesn't stand with the older great titles. Looking at you, Mario Tennis Aces. Definitely a big part why I just don't connect with modern gaming anymore.
