Does this game need to exist? Not really, but I still had a good time playing it. It's more of the same, but with more characters and modes. I'm still a fan of the humor and whimsy. I have no idea who any of these characters are, but I'm interested in seeing them interact and I want to know more about them. I like tetris and I like puyo puyo, so this is a good time. I will say getting 4 stars in story mode is really annoying. You have to unlock the chance to get 4th star and even if you met the requirements, you still have to replay the mission over again. Would I like to see a 3rd installment? Probably not since I don't really see how they can add more or improve what's currently there outside of balance changes.

It's Puyo Puyo and Tetris. What more do you need? It does the job, has a ton of modes to play around with. The Adventure Mode maybe gets a bit repetitive by the end of it. Some of the CPU opponents are cheap as hell though and can get frustrating. A few of my wins just came down to luck. …

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2's campaign is the first game I have ever played where I am actually frustrated whenever I win.
